Evan is a classically trained, award-winning Canadian-American actor and voice over artist. He was born and raised in Toronto, where he studied at George Brown Theatre School before starring in the original Canadian company of The Toxic Avenger Musical. His performance earned him a Dora Award Nomination, and he won a Gemini Award for his contributions to a documentary that followed the show’s journey from rehearsal to opening night. He spent two seasons at Canada’s prestigious Shaw Festival, starring in productions of Ragtime, His Girl Friday, Guys & Dolls, and Lady Windermere’s Fan.

Shortly after moving to New York City, Evan made his Broadway debut in Amazing Grace. He went on to star in the national tours of The Play That Goes Wrong and Dirty Dancing, and appeared Off-Broadway Michael Mayer’s acclaimed revival of Little Shop of Horrors. Most recently, Evan performed in the Tony Award-Winning Broadway and Off-Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s Merrily We Roll Along, starring Jonathan Groff, Lindsay Mendez, and Daniel Radcliffe. 

 

He has performed in regional theatres across North America, and has been involved in the creation of a number of new plays and musicals.

 

Evan is currently starring as George McFly in Back To The Future: The Musical on Broadway.

He loves pizza and dogs.
